Colonel Kevin Snow

NDU Reserve Chair

Colonel Kevin R. Snow serves as the Reserve Component Chair at National Defense University, Fort McNair, Washington, DC. As Chair, he advises the NDU President on reserve matters and manages the Reserve Component National Security Course. RCNSC educates over 400 reserve component senior officers and senior enlisted members each year. The course lays a critical foundation for reserve leaders, focusing on national security and international relations, laying a foundation for joint command management and staff responsibilities in a multinational, intergovernmental, and joint national security setting.

Colonel Snow was commissioned in 2003 upon graduation from the University of Massachusetts. He is a command pilot with more than 3,500 hours in tanker aircraft, including more than 900 combat hours. He flew missions in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, NEW DAWN, and !NEREN RESOLVE. He served over 11 years on active duty before joining the Air Force Reserve in 2014.

Colonel Snow was selected for numerous leadership opportunities including the prestigious PHOENIX MOBILITY officer development program and PHOENIX REACH major weapon system cross flow program. He has served in leadership positions at the squadron and group levels, and has been a tanker planner in five different Air Operations Centers. Prior to his current assignment, Colonel Snow served as the Commander of the 349th Operations Group, Travis AFB, CA, responsible for seven squadrons operating the KC-10, C-17, and C-5 aircraft.
