LeSean M. Carey currently serves as the Institutional Research Associate at the College of International Security Affairs (CISA). She works with course assessments (including technology), accreditation reporting, and data collection for stakeholders, among many other things.
Prior to CISA, LeSean joined from the National War College (NWC) where she began in February 2020 as the Academic Specialist. Prior to NWC, she served as an English Teacher in Okinawa, Japan with the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) teaching military-connected students on Kadena and Torii military bases. She was also an adjunct assistant college professor during her time on Okinawa. Before her time overseas, she worked on Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, NC and taught with the public school system in Annapolis, MD.
She is from the Washington DC Metro Area and a graduate of the University of Virginia, earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature & Composition and a Master of Teaching degree in Secondary Education.
