Dr. Troy Glassman

Dean of Administration

 

Dr. Troy Glassman is the Dean of Administration for the College of International Security Affairs (CISA). Prior to joining CISA, Dr. Glassman served at the Department of State as the Director, Office of Protective Medicine and previous Director, Strategic Medical Preparedness for the Directorate of Operational Medicine. In these roles, he was responsible for the Department’s planning and execution of global medical support to protective details and contingency operations. Also, he maintained the Department’s strategic stockpiles of contingency medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, Weapons of Mass Destruction medical countermeasures programs, bio-containment medical evacuation capabilities, and medical synchronization for global operations. In his years, prior to joining the Department of State, Dr. Glassman had over 30 years military and 8 years academic experience. He had an illustrious Army career going through enlisted ranks from Private to Sergeant First Class (SFC), graduating Officer Candidate School, and from 2nd Lieutenant (2LT) to Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) with the majority of the years serving within Special Operations in multiple assignments. Dr. Glassman served and led at all levels within multiple combat deployments, Active Army units from Battalion to Brigade level, Special Operations, Intelligence Organizations, Combined headquarters, and inter-agency assignments as both a combat medic and logistics officer. He led and participated in combat operations within Iraq and Afghanistan.

Dr. Glassman’s academic highlights include Department Chair, Professor of Military Science, Academic Chair, Assistant Professor of Management, Deputy Program Manager, and Research Associate focusing on leadership, organizational behavior, healthcare management, supply chain management, and instructional systems. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Masters of Science in Logistics Management, and PhD in Business - Organization and Management.

Dr. Glassman is the co-founder and Board Vice-President for the non-profit, We2AreVets, 501c3, which focuses on the honor, recognition, and empowerment of women veterans. He has been married to his beautiful wife Naomi for over 35 years and they have three children, Destinee, Ryan, and BreeAnna, and three grandchildren, Aiden, Landon, and Ethan.
